Welcome! Before we start building your empire, we need to hook up the power source for all the AI features in the app: your Gemini API key.
The “Why”: Financial Sovereignty
Most SaaS tools charge you a “usage tax.” They lock you into limited credits, throttling your output when you should be growing your business. ContentOps is built differently.
By bringing your own API key, you bypass the middleman. You pay Google pennies for what others charge dollars for, and you never hit a “limit” on your own ambition. The free tier is generous; heavy daily use rarely exceeds a dollar a month.
Step-by-Step: Connecting Your Key
Step 1: Head to Google AI Studio
Navigate to Google AI Studio and log in with your primary Google account.
Step 2: Access the API Menu
Look down at the bottom left of your screen and click the “Get API key” menu.
Step 3: Create Your Key
Click the blue “Create API key” button in the top right. (Assign it to a new project if prompted).
Step 4: Copy to Clipboard
Copy the generated string of letters and numbers to your clipboard.
Step 5: Connect to ContentOps
Head back to your ContentOps Command Center, navigate to Account Settings, paste your key, and hit Save.
